The Sea and Me Cakery is a home-licensed bakery located on the beautiful CT shoreline. We’re so delighted you’re here! We create custom cakes, cookies, and specialty desserts to make your occasion truly special! Our cakes are deliciously moist and our signature Swiss meringue buttercream is mildly sweet and velvety smooth… available in a variety of flavors.
My fascination with beautiful desserts began as a girl looking through my mom’s Betty Crocker Cookbook and specialty cake books... gazing at chocolate funnel cakes, checkerboard cakes, and Baked Alaska (a meringue cake filled with ice cream that you bake in the oven...what?! I was hooked!) And what baker can forget the thrill of watching through the little window of their Susie Bake Oven as their first cake rose under the light bulb! My love of baking only grew through the years as I made my sons’ birthday cakes (talk about special order...Treasure Island with waterfalls and pretzel trees and Lego pirates! Or having to pipe Batman and Superman onto the same cake because my little birthday boy couldn’t possibly choose just one!). Martha Stewart, cooking shows, cake decorating books, and Wilton all continued to inspire (I took all the Wilton classes and became a Certified Cake Instructor!) and started creating Wedding Cakes!
Fast forward to today, and I’m still being inspired by the latest trends on Pinterest and Instagram! The Sea and Me Cakery specializes in small wedding cakes (elegant tiered, semi-naked, ocean-themed, you name it) as well as cupcakes, tea cakes, iced cookies, or cakesicles (popsicle-shaped cakes on sticks) for weddings, showers, or any occasion! So whether it’s English tea cakes, meringue mushrooms (that look like the real thing), sea creature iced cookies, or white chocolate oyster shells (with edible pearls), The Sea and Me Cakery is here to create your custom dessert or party favor...
